We deliberately came from Kalibaru to meet with the Governor

Thousands of residents from various elements and circles thronged the Jakarta City Hall's courtyard and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan to attend the Terima Kasih "Thank You" Jakarta event.

As quoted by beritajakarta.id, resid ents consisting of children to adults, mass organizations, communities, and people with disabilities have been packing the City Hall and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan areas since 7:30 AM.

They seemed enthusiastic and patiently waiting for the arrival of Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and his partner, Ahmad Riza Patria, standing while unfurling a banner that said thank you to the governor.

Tiah (52), a resident of RT 10/08, Kalibaru, Cilincing, North Jakarta who came with 30 colleagues, claimed to have arrived at City Hall since 6:30 AM.

"We deliberately came from Kalibaru to meet with the Governor. Because today is his last day in office," she expressed, Sunday (10/16).

AB Club Jabotebek Chairman, Bunda Alfa uttered the presence of 50 of her members who arrived at the location at around 8 AM to thank the governor.

"We are here to thank Mr. Anies for his work for five years leading Jakarta to be better and more advanced. We also want to have a good relationship," she stated.
